I Quit Teaching…
Just an update.
I want to be clear (because I didn’t say it in the video) that I am not sad, or upset, or mad of the time and money wasted – because it wasn’t wasted. I am 100% happy with this choice, and I’m glad I realised it this early in my age.

good for you babe! I personally switched out of a bachelor of communication
degree … (thought I was going to be a photojournalist) to go into
nursing.. and I am so glad I did!! Graduating in four months & going into
my dream job that I never thought was going to be for me 🙂 Good luck with
the rest of your studies and I wish you all the best in your future career!

as if the weight has lifted from your shoulders.
PS. I have to say this – but – never say never. You never know what life
may throw at you xx

being afraid to say so! I know a lot of people won’t understand but you

You have no idea how happy this video made me! Thanks so much for being so
honest. Xx

I felt the exact same way during my internship and thought that teaching
wasn’t for me as I hated being observed and standing up in front of the
class.. I kept going because I wanted the degree, even if I did’t end up
going into teaching. 8 months into teaching (I had to move away too) and I
have 100% found my calling and passion! I LOVE it. I can’t begin to
describe how different having your own class is and not being observed..
and actually being a teacher to being a student teacher. It’s hard work &
as you said, work always comes home with me! In saying that, you should be
very very proud of yourself for making such a difficult and huge decision!!
I’m sure you will go on to do big things and don’t let anybody tell you it
wasn’t the right choice for you 🙂 Good luck lovely x

was in that position I would do the same !!! – good luck for whatever you
decide to do !!! ❤ ??

This is the sort of video I need at the moment.
I watched your video a few weeks ago on your teaching degree and commented
how I am so so confused at the moment. I am studying to be a doctor in
sydney (am from newcastle) and am in my first year and am struggling to
enjoy it. I spent so many years and time and so so much money to get such a
high atar to get in 🙁
I feel like I would let so many people down if I dropped out. Last week all
I felt like doing was dropping out and travelling for the rest of the year
to get some perspective.
Well done on your choice. Its so inspiring :)

If I’m being honest I wouldn’t have the guts to do that! Good on you babe

Wow…I’m in the same place as you, final year of Bachelor of
Arts/secondary education and I’m also second guessing myself – am I happy
being a teacher? I just don’t know! I’m glad you made such a brave
decision, I wish I was as sure of what I want for my future as you! Well
done 🙂 x

im so happy you didnt make the mistake a lot of people make (thinking it’s
too late to change course or thinking changing course means you failed) and
i am very proud that you are honoring your truth and moving on. genuinely.
good luck katrina.

You know what? I’m freaking proud of you. This was probably an insanely
hard decision and you are so brave for doing so! You’re right, life is
waaayyy to short to not do something that makes you happy. I wish I had
your courage! I’ve been subscribed to you for ages now and feel almost like
a friend to you (that probably sound weird and creepy) but I support you in
what ever you do and plan to do, as long as you’re happy! I congratulate
you on this and hope you find what will really make you happy soon!! ??
Jul 22, 2015 @ 09:01:31
This must have been such a hard decision to make! So good you’re putting
all your papers across to a different degree, you can do post grad and all
sorts then. Good luck with everything!

Hello from Chicago! Congratulations on your decision to graduate with an
educational studies degree. I am a former primary and secondary education
teacher & I understand. Best of luck!

inconsequential , your life your rules i get that. I just hope you never
ever regret that 10 weeks
